I subscribe to Scientific American, which I find to be an outstanding magazine, and every so often they send out special issues, mini issues, reports, and the like. This special report that I have linked to below is a fantastic conglomeration on the efforts in energy systems to date. It's a great rescource for anyone interested in the science of energy systems, and the future of power.
